Home Treatment for Acne

Home remedies for acne is always good. It is not always necessary to go to a medical store when you have a sudden acne flareup. Some home standbys can always be counted upon in emergencies. Home treatments are often just as good as the expensive stuff on store shelves. By opting for natural treatment, you can do a surprisingly good job of eliminating your acne. ALWAYS REMEBER: DO NOT SQUEEZE, POP PIMPLES. AVOID TOUCHING YOUR FACE.


Some essential home treatment for acne
If you have a bad pimple, put a dab of white toothpaste on it and leave it overnight.

Get a little sunshine every day. Expose your affected areas. Dont worry the ultraviolet light won't harm if you just get a little. It will help kill the bacteria.

Steam your face for 10 minutes, then pat dry. After that apply a small amount of extra virgin olive oil with a teaspoon of sugar and scrub, leave for 10 minutes and rinse thoroughly. Should be performed every 3-4 times in a week regularly. This remedy is a good home remedy for acne.

Make a pack by boiling 50 gm of raspberry, strawberry or blackberry leaves with 1.5 litres of water. Apply for 3 minutes. This will give itching free and soothing skin.

Use the gel of Aloe Vera in the affected areas.

Mix natural yogurt and fine oatmeal and make a thick paste. Apply and leave to dry. Wash the face with lukewarm water and pat dry.

Unboiled milk mixed with gram flour has been proved effective for the daily wash of acne skin.

Apply fresh lime juice mixed with a half glass of boiled milk for treating pimples, blackheads and cracked skin.

Mix one tablespoon of groundnut oil with one tablespoon of lime juice for treating pimples.

To make good acne remedy make a scrub by mixing equal quantities of white sugar and brown sugar and wet a little and rub face.

One more good home remedy for acne is to apply ripe tomatoes paste on pimples and wash it after keeping for an hour.

Mix lime juice in rose water and use cotton wool to dab over the face. Then wash the face after sometime and pat dry. This is one of the effective home remedies for acne.

Make a paste of roasted & powdered pomegranate skin with fresh lime juice and apply over the affected parts. This is another effective acne home remedy.


Diet

Drink 6 to 8 glasses each day. Deep in your skin, water is a crucial component, providing the basis of a healthy, soft and youthful complexion.

Drink a glass of wheat grass juice daily to remove acne.

Eat plenty of vegetables and fruits.

Prefer boil, steam, bake or lightly grilled food.

Each day have one tablespoon of mixed fresh seeds, e.g. pumpkin, sunflower, sesame or ground hemp/linseed.

Have a tablespoon of cold-pressed seed oils daily and oily fish three times a week.

Eat plenty of whole grains, root vegetables, lentils and beans.

Try alternatives to milk and cheese such as Soya milk, tofu, yoghurt.

Avoid alcohol completely or limit your alcohol intake.

Have no more than two cups of tea or coffee a day.


Avoid
Avoid sugary foods such as soft drinks, sweets, jams, many cereals, biscuits, cakes and desserts.

Don't have foods containing white flour, such as bread, biscuits, cakes, pastries and pasta.

Don't have foods containing chemical additives which are found in most canned, preserved or processed foods.

Don't have fried foods.

Don't have foods like butter, cream and ice cream.

Don't have processed foods as most of them contain trans-fats.

Don't smoke at all.
