How To Swallow 30 Pills At One Time Safely

How many of you have problems even swallowing one pill or capsule? Reasons for that range from fear of choking to dry pills that leave a terrible taste in your mouth. Natural reflex instincts your body uses in an almost unconscious fashion to protect you from swallowing something that might do harm to the body is the trigger for your difficulty.

So it becomes necessary to persuade the body and mind that the particular items you put into your mouth (purposely) are safe to swallow. Call it a training process anyone can easily and quickly do--it takes maybe 30 minutes. Think about it. You can easily swallow a big forkful of prime rib in one easy gulp, yet one tiny little pill half the size of a pea is a threat. Am I right?

Go through these training steps slowly:

o Talk to your mind directly using your own convincing and persuasive techniques to convince yourself that what you are delivering into your mouth to swallow is not only safe but is of great benefit to you. Burn the thought into your brain. It doesn't know; you have to tell it.
o Make the connection: If you know that you actually have easily swallowed large bolus chunks of food in your life without a single problem, even without thinking that it might not be possible, then you know for sure it's not the size of the group of pills that matters.
o Understand clearly that you have a backup plan to instantly use if needed. You should always take pills with some fluid along with them. You can easily spit out everything in your mouth if things aren't going right. You can swallow some of the pills and fluid, and then spit, cough, or gag the rest out of your mouth--that's an automatic reflex the body uses anyway.

Adding more fluid to the mixture before swallowing may be necessary--you'll know from trial and error what works for you.

Step by step process:

1. Insert one or many pills into your mouth, below or on top of the tongue.
2. Use your tongue to group the pills together in a bundle the first few times. Later you'll find they can just be thrown into the mouth anywhere and you won't move them around until fluid is added. Know that any bitter or bad taste of the pills will be immediately removed when you add fluid to your mouth.
3. Group the pills at the back of the tip of the tongue but not so far back on the tongue or in the mouth that you trigger the gag or swallow reflex. You'll know.
4. Add your choice of fluid to your mouth, preferably not carbonated, spicy, or hot drinks because they stimulate sensors in the mouth and on the tongue that utterly sabotage your efforts. The volume of fluid you add to your mouth is a matter of your choice and ease of swallowing comfort. Make sure it is adequate--not too much or too little. It's different for everyone.
5. Next, use your tongue to slosh the fluid around in your mouth enough to cover every pill surface entirely.
6. Move the bolus of pills and fluid to the very back of the tongue, ready to swallow.
7. Tilt your head back a moderate amount, with your chin upwards, as you move the bolus to the back of the mouth. The idea is to use gravity to assist in the swallowing process. If you tilt your head too far back, it automatically stops tongue movement and swallowing reflexes.
8. Intentionally create the instruction to your brain (tell yourself exactly what you are going to do)......swallow everything all together in one swallow! If you don't think that thought, the old defensive reflexes that have always interfered with you being able to do this are reactivated.

The time to complete the eight steps averages about four seconds....give or take. By adding up the time you wasted during your life in taking one pill at a time, you have 4 more days of life to do fun things! And taking pills in the future ceases to be a worry you don't need or deserve. It works for me, and I know it'll work for you.

. How To Sleep Comfortably on a Hot Night

It is very difficult to sleep on a hot night-summer. People tend to cool down themselves to be able to sleep especially in a 30 degrees Celsius temperature. But for Asians it is just normal but for people who are used to cold weather it is very disturbing. So here are the tips that could help you on how to sleep comfortably on a hot night

Materials:
Water
Cotton bedding
Oscillating fan
Ice pack

1. Invest in crisp, cotton sheets as your only bedding. T-shirt and silken sheets may be popular for their softness, but crisp cotton is cooler to the touch. Remove any blankets and extra pillows from the bed. They only add to the heat.

2. Keep your bedding in the freezer until fifteen minutes before bedtime. Prepare for the heat of the evening by folding bedding and placing it into freezer bags in the morning. Place the bag in the freezer to cool down while you are busy during the day. Fifteen minutes before bed, remove the bedding from the freezer and make the bed.

3. Take a cool shower. Cooling down your body temperature is essential before bed. This is more important if you exercise in the evening. Make the water as cold as you can stand without shivering and make sure to splash your face with the cold water several times before ending the shower.

4. Go to bed with your hair wet. In winter, you don’t want to go out in the cold with a wet head, but this is not true in the summer. Go to bed with your hair wet and your body will stay cool for the time it takes to dry. If you are concerned about getting knots in your hair, braid it before you go to sleep. As an added bonus, air-drying instead of blow-drying every night is better for your hair.

5. Sleep naked. If modesty is a concern, use a sheet for cover. Get rid of extra clothing that keeps the heat close to your body.

6. Make the air move with an oscillating fan. Heat seems even more stifling when there is no breeze. If you live in an area where a nice breeze comes in your window, be sure to open the windows wide. If not, invest in an oscillating fan that will move the air around the room. Open the door to you room if possible, to avoid that stifling feeling.

7. Keep ice water on your nightstand. Sometimes just a gulp of ice water will help cool you down. Keep some handy by the bed if you wake up and need a little refreshment.

8. Place an ice pack under your feet. Your legs and feet maintain a good portion of your body heat. If you can cool them off, you can often relax enough to get to sleep. Pull an ice pack out of your freezer and place it under your feet, or under your knees. The ice may be startling for a minute but before long, you will be much cooler.

9. Place a wet cloth on your forehead. Bringing the temperature down on your head is as important as cooling off your feet. If wet hair isn’t keeping you cool enough, try a cold wet cloth on your forehead or the back of your neck.

Keeping your cool is essential to getting a good night sleep in the warm summer months. Follow the steps above and you will be well on your way to sleeping comfortably, no matter how high the mercury rises.

. How To Give a Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone massage is very unique. It uses stone as means in massaging. Because people fins this very unique, more and more spa and health club are introducing this way of massaging. But it is expensive. However there are means ti practice hot stone massage without spending too much. Just follow these steps and you can avail at this wonderful experience. So what are you waiting, read this tips and give your family members of friends this experience.

1. Assemble the materials required. For a hot stone massage, you will obviously need stones which can be heated. Basalt stones are the usual choice, although some other kinds can be used. You can buy stones from a massage supply company or track down your own stones directly from a riverbed. Look for stones of varying sizes that are completely smooth, with any corners or rough spots worn away. You will also need a roasting pan or crock pot for heating the stones, some towels, massage or baby oil, and tongs or a slotted spoon for removing stones from the hot water.

2. Prepare your hot stones. Before the first use, your basalt stones should be rinsed and "seasoned," or oiled. You can use baby oil, massage oil, or essential oils for this. To heat the stones for a hot stone massage, heat water in a crock pot or roasting pan, and add the stones. When the stones are warm, remove them and dry them off completely with a towel. You will have to monitor the stones closely to make sure they are warm, but not too hot. Stones of different sizes will hold heat differently, so experiment with this before giving your first hot stone massage.

3. Place the hot stones. Always test the stones on your own skin first to make sure they are not too hot. If the stones are too warm, you can place a towel or sheet between the stones and the skin. Place larger stones on the larger muscles: the lower back on either side of the spine and the scapular area. You can also place stones on either side of the spine, the shoulders, and anywhere else the person receiving the massage desires. If they are resting with their palms facing up, place a medium stone in the palm of each hand. If you have small stones, they can be placed between toes or fingers for some extra relaxation.

4. Begin massaging. You can massage with your hands or gently with a medium-sized hot stone. To massage with a stone, remove stones on the area of the body that you are preparing to work on, and slowly and carefully run the warmed stone over the person's skin. Hot stone massages allow the heat to penetrate and relax the muscles in lieu of deep tissue work, so use a light touch. Remember to follow the lead of the person receiving the massage and to only do what he is comfortable with.

5. Replace hot stones as needed. When you are done working on a specific area, you may have to replace the stones with freshly heated stones, as they will lose their heat. It's a good idea to have more stones heating than you can use at once, so that none of the stones get cold.

6. Don't forget the extremities. It can be extremely relaxing if hot stones are used on the arms, legs, hands and feet, so experiment, with the permission of the person receiving the massage. Try running a hot stone along the soles of the feet, or very gently on the back of the neck. Wrists are another spot that may need relaxation, especially for people who type a lot.

7. Clean and store your stones. After the massage is over, make sure you wash the stones, preferably with an antibacterial cleanser. Store them somewhere where they will remain clean and ready for the next use!

With preparation and careful communication with the person receiving the massage, hot stone massages can be performed by anyone. Even the most simple and basic hot stone massage has relaxing qualities. This is an excellent way to help a family member or loved one relax after a hard day at work or support a friend who has been going through a rough time.

How To Give a Foot Massage

Feet for some is the most comfortable spot for massaging. Reflexology is the art of massaging the feet and it claims that it can know sickness just massaging the foot-applicable only for the experts. But for those who want to avail this massage, all you have to do is top follow this steps.

1. Start with clean feet! While you may love a foot massage at the end of a hard day, have some courtesy for your partner or the person offering the massage. Remove your foot coverings and give your feet a little bath before offering them up. If you are offering the massage and don't want to suggest your partner wash their feet, try step two.

2. Wrap a warm, damp towel around the feet. This step is often skipped but it serves two purposes. First you get cleaner feet to work with. Second the heat will help relax tense foot muscles. Keep the towel in place for at least two minutes.

3. Test for ticklish feet. It helps if you know someone's feet are ticklish before they react and kick you (or break out in giggles and ruin the mood).

4. Apply lotion to hands. Don't go overboard with the lotion. You don't want slippery hands, just enough lotion to soften the hands and feet.

5. Lightly rub lotion across the tops and bottom of the feet. Once you have applied the lotion you will start to concentrate on one of the feet for the next few minutes.

6. Hold one foot between the palms of your hands and rub with thumbs. Use your thumbs to rub firmly along the bones across the top of the foot. Rub as firmly as you can without causing pain. Realize that everyone reacts to pain differently and you want to relieve tension, not create it.

7. Massage the bottom of the foot. Switch your hands so that with your palms still around the foot, your thumbs are now against the bottom of the foot. Create small circles with your thumbs and press deeply as you slowly widen the circles to massage the ball of the foot then the arch.

8. Stretch the toes. With your palm still facing down, slowly slip your fingers of one hand between the toes. This small movement stretches the feet and relieves pressure. Be aware that for some people this causes their toes to crack. This shouldn't be a problem unless they feel pain.

9. Put on a warm sock. The sock will seal in the moisture of the lotion and complete the relaxing feel of the massage.

10. Repeat with the other foot. You should never leave a foot massage half done.

With any luck, your partner will return the foot massage favor sometime. If you followed these steps and didn't rush through the massage you should have one relaxed and satisfied pair of feet.

How to give a head massage

Head massage is a tested means to relax. That is why more and more spa are being erected to cater the growing customer in massaging. But sometimes people want to stay in their home for the massage or just want their wife/husband/relative and others to do it for them because you can be assured at that love is being applied. Here are the tips to save yourself from going in this spa to save money and time.

There is nothing better than a great head massage after a stressful day at the office. In addition to feeling great, a good head massage had lots of health benefits too. It relieves stress and tension, increases blood flow to your scalp (which reduces headaches), stimulates hair growth and helps deal with depression. If you or a loved one suffer from any of these ailments, then it is time for you to learn how to give a head massage.

1. Find somewhere comfortable to sit your patient. Since there are no oils or special creams involved in giving a head massage then the most comfortable means for your patients is the best choice. They can either lay or sit with their head back, as long as they are in a completely relaxed position.

2. Set the mood. Find a candle or some nice incense to offer a relaxing mood for your patient.

3. Start at the top. To begin with massaging, start from the head, rub the pads of your fingers in small circles around the top and side of the head. You should be using all of your fingers at the same time here, using much the same motion as if you were shampooing hair. Continue this step over the entire head for at least a minute.

4. Massage the forehead. Now that you have started the head massage from the top, you will want to continue on to the forehead. Using your thumbs, gently run them across the forehead, starting the middle and working your way outward. Repeat this a few times.

5. Honor the ear. There is a small indentation right behind the ear, often referred to as a dimple. Apply slight pressure to these for 5-10 seconds. This is meant to relieve stress, not to add more pressure, so make sure you're not pressing too hard.

6. Rotate the head. At this stage of the head massage, it's time to loosen up the neck. Gently hold the head on both sides and roll the head from side to side. It's important not to extend the head past this point, as it will be uncomfortable for your patient. A simple side to side motion is as far as you should go. Once you've gone from side to side, gently tip the chin upward, helping the neck to stretch and lengthen for a few seconds.

7. Finish up. To finish your head massage, run your fingers along the hairline to the back or nape of the neck. Apply some gentle pressure to the very base of the head for a few seconds.

This is a simple and yet satisfying method for giving a great head massage. It really only takes about 10 minutes, but you can certainly stretch out each portion of the massage for as long as you'd like. Beware though - you might end up performing this massage quite often once you start!

How to exercise at the computer

In this modern age computer is so common that everywhere you look there is one. Most people use computer at everyday. Kids use computer to play. Teenagers use it to connect through internet to socialize in their favorite social site. And some people use computer as part of their work so it means eight hours a day. Computer is so average that exercising is so rare. These

You spend hours every day sitting in front of a computer working. Wouldn’t it be nice if some of that time could be used to get in your exercise routine and help you tone your physique? Well, you can. Follow this simple routine twice a day and you will be toning up and trimming down all while exercising at your computer.

1. Start with good posture. Slouching all day is bad for your shoulders, your back and your workout. Whenever you catch yourself slouching, try straightening up. Good posture requires that you hold in your abdominals and shoulders and maintaining that posture helps engage your muscles.

2. Tense and release. This activity helps get your muscles in gear and helps you relax, too. Starting with your feet then curl your toes to tense your muscles. Hold the tension for five seconds then release. Work up through your calves, thighs, glutes, abs – all the way up through your neck, arms and hands. Run through the entire series twice. You’ll be amazed how good you feel.

3. Stand up, and then squat. Sometimes you just need to get the blood pumping. Push your chair away from the desk. Stand up and shake your legs a bit to get the blood moving. Then if you work in an area where you won’t have an audience, or you don’t care who can watch, sit back into a squat. Do 15 to 20 reps.

4. Strengthen your calves. Take your shoes off. While standing start with both feet flat on the floor, you rise up to your toes and hold then drop back down to flat feet. If you have a sturdy box, stair or even a book, you can do additional calf raises by placing your toes on the edge of the step. Drop your heels down almost to the floor then push back up to your toes. Do 15 to 20 reps.

5. Raise your arms. You can do this sitting or standing. Raise your arms up straight and down. Then move your arms out to the sides and back in. Repeat both motions 10 to 15 times.

6. Roll your shoulders. With your arms at your sides pull your shoulders up to your ears then roll them backwards. Repeat 10 times then roll your shoulders forward 10 times.

7. Stretch it out. Once you’ve finished the routine, stand back up and stretch. Extend your body up toward the ceiling as far as you can. This means stand up on your toes, raise your arms up and extend your fingers up, reaching for the sky. Feel the stretch all through your body including your back, abs and shoulders. Relax back down and bend over from the waist, reaching to touch your toes. Repeat the process 5 times. Once you’re done, sit back at your desk feeling refreshed and rejuvenated to get back to work.

Those of us who spend most of our day tied to a computer in an office try to find ways to get in our exercise wherever we can. You don’t have to bring weights or exercise equipment to work under your desk. Just get moving and you will see improvement in a few weeks.

Exercise Machine type and its Benefits

Exercise is very beneficial to our health. It can lower heart diseases, blood pressures and others. There are different means in exercising some jog, push-up, walk, hike, etc. But nowadays, we are experiencing a different era where people are too busy doing exercise outside a home environment area. That is why gym is very popular because it entices people to exercise in just a one area only. But I have also another option for those people who want do their daily exercise just at their home. This article is about exercise machine types and its benefit so that we could recognize what exercise we ought to do and just concentrate on that.

Exercising is very helpful to our body in maintaining our physical health and also to our psychological health. More and more people choose exercise machine types to save time. We will not have to go bike or jog around the area to have an exercise. But we can just go to a gym or buy an exercise machine to sweat ourselves in our own homes. Also we can do a lot of things while exercising at home like watching TV, talking to the phone and many more. There are many types of exercise machine types or physical fitness machines that will benefit us. Here are just some suggestions.

1. The Weight Training. There are many types of weight training; weightlifting, strongman, bodybuilding and power lifting. Most of us want to make our body muscular. What are the proper equipments for this exercise? There are dumbbells and plates (a disk). Dumbbells are varied according to their weight and sizes. Also we can enhance the usage of dumbbells. There is this leg press in which our leg pushes upward the big dumbbells, also the cable machine. Just be reminded we cannot go directly in weight training without any supervision from the experts because it might do damage to our body instead of enhancing. The benefit of weight training is to make our muscles be developed and stronger.

2 The Pilate. It uses padded mat, Reformer, Wunda chair and others. It mainly uses a spring type of equipment to have a resistance. This exercise is originally designed to better the mental and physical health of the soldiers coming from war. The benefits are; to enhance efficiency of movement, precision, control, concentration, flexibity and breathing.

3. The Knee Raise Machine. It is basically a chair and has perpendicular grip at the end of the arm rest. This is the best exercise to shape your abdomen. We all know men love to have good muscle shape in the abdomen. This is also the best exercise for boxers to avoid so much damage from punches.

4. The Treadmill. It uses a platform. This where a person walks or runs but stays at same place. The speed of the treadmill can be determined so that a person can estimate how fast or slow he likes. The benefits are; first the most obvious our health and second is when the weather is unfavorable we can still jog at our own houses.

5. The Power Rider. It looks like a bike in which you seem like you are paddling pedals at the same time moving your hands. The idea here is to move your both hands and legs to maximize the exercise. Also if you have an instructor or a video guide, you can do triceps, biceps and pectorals.

6. The Power Plate. It has a platform which vibrates. The vibration may be upward or downward. The idea here is that the vibration causes the muscles to work.
The usual push ups and squats can be done effectively in power plate. The proponents of this equipment say that ten second of power plate is equivalent to an hour of basic exercise.

There are still many to mention but I only choose this because this machines are the most common and the most accessible to us. Exercise will give us a lot of benefits so better start right now to cater the benefits.
