Following are some of the simple tips for headache:

- Do not skip your regular balanced diet. Sometimes hunger also causes headache.

- Banana gives good amount of energy and also relief from headache.

- Live a stress free life. Do pranayam regularly to get relief from stress and strain. Various yogic postures lead to proper blood circulation and relief from headache.

- Sweet and mild tastes are considered better in relieving headaches than other tastes. When you are suffering from headache, consume a sweet preparation or even a spoonful of sugar.

- Milk and ghee are also useful in headaches. Preferably, the milk of a cow should be warmed and taken during headache.

- Avoid eating junk and fried foods as this aggravates headache.
- Drink plenty of water.

- Eat green and fibrous vegetables.

- Take proper sleep. A good sleep is a solution of lot of health problems.

- Avoid excess cheese, chocolate, creams, and muttons in the diet.

- Eat foods rich in calcium, protein, Vitamin B12, Vitamin C, and Vitamin D.

- Sit on floor and close your eyes. Keep your body erect and take a deep breath and then hold back your breath for few seconds then release carbon dioxide and relax for few seconds. Then in the same way do this for 10 minutes.

- Prepare a paste of clove and salt crystals. Add this paste in the milk. The main curative ingredient in this is salt, which, being hygroscopic, absorbs the fluids in the head and decreases the tension.

- For headaches caused due to common colds drink a decoction of coriander and sugar. This will help in relieving such headache.

- Sometimes headaches are also caused due to excessive gas in the stomach. For such type of headache drink a glass of warm water with a fresh lemon squeezed in it. This will bring the headache as well as the gas problem down.

- Grind some cinnamon and make it into a paste with water. Apply this on the head. This will reduce headache.

- You can also apply sandalwood (chandan) paste on the forehead. This will give you relief from headaches in summer days.

- Head massage with coconut oil also gives relief from headache in summer days..

- Prepare a tea using cumin, ginger, and coriander seeds. This tea soothes pain and can be taken at anytime of the day.

- Eucalyptus oil massage is also used as a pain reliever. It is very good home remedy for curing headache.

- Early morning after waking up dab an apple with salt and eat it. After that, drink some warm water or milk. Continue this for ten days. This will reduce the problem of continuous headaches.

- Almond oil is also another alternative in curing headache. Massage it on forehead and at lower muscles of your head.

- Betel leaves have analgesic and cooling properties. Prepare a paste betel leaves and apply to the center of the headache. This will immediately give relief from headache.

- Another useful natural cure for headache is aromatic cloves. They have a headache-allaying effect. They can soothe the nerves and bring it back to a pacified state.

- Bishop’s weed is another useful herb for getting relief from headaches. It is very effective in headaches that occur due to migraine. The fumes of the lighted bishop’s weed seeds are used for the treatment. These fumes are smoked or the seeds are sniffed directly.

- For headache caused by excessive heat you can try this remedy. Henna flowers have the capacity to reduce such type of headaches. They are applied externally on the head with vinegar to get the desired results.

- Garlic is also used in relieving headaches. Garlic juice slowly permeates the head region and acts as a painkiller.

- Ginger is used for external application on the affected head region. This gives relief from the headache.
